Last night's show was likely the most fun I've ever had during Confab. Confab, in general, is quite a bit of fun, but last night's show was especially so. Lots and lots of laughter (except for the part about where the area's homeless are buried when they die). You can grab the show through the iTunes Podcast Directory or our Web site: www.confabshow.com.
To clarify my comments about Washington State's "religiosity" (a sociological measure of religious participation), I'll refer everyone to an article in the Baptist Standard titled "Northwest Baptists minister in nation's least-churched region". Mark Wingfield writes, "Yet by virtually any standard of measurement, Washington and Oregon together may form the most-unchurched region of the United States. Only 15 percent of the region's 9 million residents claim any Christian religious affiliation." (2001) The important thing to remember is that the measure "religiosity" is not the same as a measure of "spirituality".
I'll try to grab more recent data, and data showing rates of religiosity by state or region.
I'd like to personally thank Elaine Chu, John Kaufmann, Will Kelly-Kamp, Gavin Shearer, Keith Vaitkus and Adrianne Young for making the show such a success.
