Artistic Metalwork

Another of my many hobbies is artistic metalwork. Back in 2015, after years of Melissa asking for cafe lights in our backyard, I designed and fabricated three light poles in an Art Nouveau style. My goal was to bridge both the cafe lights common in French cafes with the famous Art Nouveau styles of Paris Metro Stations.

Each of the three poles were fabricated at Pratt Fine Arts by my own hands. Since moving to San Francisco, I’ve had to try and find alternatives to the wonderful facilities at Pratt Fine Arts — including having a MIG/TIG/stick welder at home.
